Likewise if you'd like me to audition for, or straight up cast me in, an audio drama/interactive title/animation of yours please email me with info! I'd love to work with you! (And yes I can follow scripts; improv is just a side-effect that was allowed to run free here because, well, it's my show :p).
About The Pod!
Hey! I’m Lea Lawson (she/her), an aussie VA who pulled this show out of thin air. Tada! It came about during a day full of grief and I was in dire need of a creative outlet. I sat down in front of my laptop, pressed record, and next thing you know, The Loop was born. There was no intention of making something for public consumption – I honestly just needed to disappear into another world. I needed to get the bad energy out. Then out of curiosity and being in a flow state, music and SFX were added to the improv annnd a grand total of an hour and a half later, an episode existed.
The next day I was still deep in the feels – Hex Code manifested in the morning, and Downfall in the evening. The day after that, I shared these completed episodes with chosen family, and that’s when the decision to release these stories into the wild was made (as well as the choice to make more if lightning struck again).Vignettes is pure improv (I blame ‘I Should Roll’ for being gateway), with no names, and realmless vibes. Are the protagonists reliable? Who knows! Are the episodes related to each other? Does that matter? What matters is that I hope you enjoy the brief windows into the protagonists' lives, and have fun intuiting what you think these episodes are about; the lack of context is intentional and you’ll probably either dig that concept or find it infuriating – either way, I had fun making my first show ^^.If you’re so inclined to throw a dollarydoo my way for my madness, here's my Ko-Fi and I’d be truly greatful. A day job has been elusive this year and times are tough. If not though, all good; it's likely rough for you too out there. And I’m probably gonna keep making things on a whim regardless because no-one can stop me haha.
It fucken’ whimsy.Truly, thank you for listening and reading. I hope Vignettes provides you a few minutes of escape and/or connection – ‘cause when the world’s going to hell in a handbasket, art plus community keeps us sane x
(even if I’m making my characters question their sanity. Oops).

Check out I Should Roll if you want to listen to an original (and unofficial) Mass Effect actual play TTRPG. There's the Ride of the Valkyrie campaign, or the Dangerous Dangers campaign - I'm in that one! (Pls forgive my covid-broken voice in the first four eps - t'was our first session and my throat had been inflamed for two. months. straight), but I promise Athena & I sound fab after that! Also I've been dialogue editing the show since late last year, woo!
